Hi Everyone,
This is my first official post (except for the one where I posted the exceptional picture of Foxy).

Anyway, my column in the Sept fitscene is about how I have taken up walking for exercise....well, today it is rainy....yuck... I really have started to like walking.

I use my ipod that my son got me for my birthday (must have been my 29th birthday, which is a regular occurance) and listen to podcasts from Dr Joy Browne.

Maybe at some time, some of our readers and I can have a "walking club" and get in shape together.

I just looked outside and it was actually drying up....maybe i will be able to get the walk in this evening.
ok...i made up my mind...i will go for 20 min then come back in and watch Seinfeld then maybe go back out again for another 20 min.

      i did it and i feel much better for it. i had drove my can yesterday and mapped out where 1 mile was.

      Tonight i did 1 mile in 18 minutes (a fairly brisk walk). Not too bad. I am going to try to do another 20 later.

      I think walking is a great exercise and it is more beneficial than running because it is less stress on your body.

      I like to walk as well, it's great exercise but unfortunately I do a lot of walking at work so doing it without getting paid for it isn't as much fun!!!
