If you've been delaying your first salmonid trip of the year, the good news is you haven't missed much. Warm weather has produced action that is spotty at best in most locales. The even better news is, that should be changing soon.

Colder weather the next couple of days will almost certainly trigger fish activity, especially in the larger tribs. Wednesday morning would be a good time to plan on being at Olcott, Wilson or Sunset Bay, especially if we get a splash of rain before then. Early-season activity is always best around daybreak, so rise n shine!   Try spoons or stickbaits, and hang on, because those spots should all have a run of silver fish fresh from the lakes.

Enjoy!
