The NHL Record is at Stake!!!

In just 20 minutes, the Buffalo Sabres will play the Atlanta Thrashers in what may be a historic game. The Sabres could beat the NHL record for most wins to start a season by going to 11-0 tonight.
This team has already beaten a franchise record by beating the 8-0 start the 74-75 Sabres set that year.
I feel very honored to be here and possibly be a part of history...I can only imagine the stories I will tell my children after the game.. win or lose.
This team somehow finds a way to win, even when they might not deserve it.
Some have made comments that the Sabres record isn't as impressive since the NHL went to the shootout to determine a game. To those people I would ask.. Does the Stanley Cup that the New Jersey Devils not mean as much since they played a shorter season due to the lockout??? The NHL changed the rules and the Sabres are playing under the rules they were given.
10 and 0 is an impressive streak, and 1 more could make it a record breaker!!!
There is a sour note in that Henrik Tallinder may have broken or re-broken his arm in the last couple minutes in the game against the Islanders on Thursday night. If so, Nathan Paetsch would get the nod to start tonight.
Here's hoping the Sabres have their A game ready tonight and can pull out 1 more win!!
