Ok, you all have them..your favorite teams and the teams that you love to see lose every game. Well, I have come up with my list of teams that could go 0-for-10,000 and I'd still want them to lose more. What's your opinion and list of teams you depise, hate, and wish would just go away. So for my MONDAY MADNESS, here's my list...

1. New York Yankees...I hate the team, owner and all they stand for. George Steinbrenner continues to throw his money away and gets nothing in return.

2. Notre Dame...I don't like the Fighting Irish, especially football.

3. Syracuse Orangemen...Always expected to do well, but somehow fall short.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers...Get another logo on the other side of your helmet.

5. Penn State...Get a logo, period, on your helmet.

6. NY Rangers...See the Yankees comment but just change ownership.

7. Oakland Raiders...Wanna be thugs...both fans and players alike. If you are a Raiders' fan, you are trying to be tough.

8. Miami Hurricanes...See above.

9. Los Angeles Lakers...The glitz, Hollywood stars, never supposed to lose...PLEASE!!! Kobe Bryant should just retire now!!

10. Duke...not the football team..just the basketball team. I guess if they went under .500 once I'd love them. Does Coach K even recruit? He gets the best dropped in his lap and takes credit for reloading every year.

      1. Duke. The Dookies deserve their own category. Items 2-10 on the list aren't in the same area code as the evil empire of Durham, NC.

      2. Boston Red Sox. "The curse": Stolen from the Cubs. "Red Sox Nation": Stolen from Oklahoma University (and, incidentally, a reference to native Americans. The Sooner Nation was their name, similar to the Iroquois Nation in our area). "Manny being Manny": Stolen from Ricky Henderson. Just goes to show, repeat something often enough and you'll get credit for it.

      3. U.S.C. Trojans: Hate their fight song, hate the national media's relentlessly positive reaction to everything they do. "What an impressive loss to Oregon State!"

      4. Notre Dame. And I'm Catholic too!

      5. Oscar de la Hoya. Technically he's not a team, but the depth of my hatred makes up for his lack of manpower. If you throw Sugar Ray Leonard and Jermain Taylor and the rest of the "golden boy Olympians" in, then he's got a team.

      6. Boring southern schools that always win: This means you Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, and all the Miss'es.

      7. Boring midwestern schools that are pretty good: This means you Michigan State, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois...the noon ESPN games, in other words.

      8. Cinderella schools that whine more than they win. This means Gonzaga and the entire MAC during basketball season, Boise State, Fresno and West Virginia during football. The reason you always get shafted is that we don't want to see you.

      9. Do announcing teams count as teams? If so, then the old ESPN NFL trio of Theisman, MacGuire and Mike Patrick

      10. The Big M Tigers. They beat us two of three years back in the day that only the winning little league team got a trophy.

      4. Cowboys(with Jerry in charge)
      5. Redskins(since Dannyboy took over)

The five most arrogant, self centered, polarizing sports entities in America.

There is no in between with any of these five, you either love them or you hate them, I choose the latter.
Duke hoops could be on that list, but there seems to be a semblence of class and humility to go with the aura of Coach K and the Devils.

However, I'll include them on the next four. Call this part "teams I'm sick and tired of seeing over and over again....please go away!"

      6. Duke hoops
      7. USC football
      8. New England Patriots
      9. Boston Red Sox

And lastly, though this team could be on top:

      10. The Carolina Hurricanes.... for being the latest in a long line of sports teams to stick a dagger in the hearts of Buffalo sports fans!

I'm with Peter regarding teams I'm sick of hearing about. That goes hand-in-hand with my hate for any winner. I automatically take an extreme dislike to whoever's on top. Not sure why that is, but I hold that hate close to my heart. Hence, I loathe the Patriots, USC football and Notre Dame, for example. I really wish the national media would stop fellating Bill Belichek, Pete Carroll and Charlie Weis.

I would also say I hate Lakers the Lakers, but I really don't hate the team. I just hate Kobe. And Jack Nicholson.

I hate the Red Sox, but again, when I think about it, I don't really hate the team itself. I hate all the bandwagon fans that jumped on after 2004.

Being an Amerks fan, I hate the Binghamton Senators. Being a Red Wings fan, I hate the Buffalo Bisons.

Now, of course, as an Indiana University grad, I'm supposed to loathe Purdue, but I really don't. That's probably because my sister went there, so my hate was softened somewhat. Plus I just love the Big Ten in general, so I'd rather root for Purdue than those clowns in Durham or Chapel Hill.
