This entry was posted on 11/4/2006 7:52 AM and is filed under Horse Racing.

There's the World Series, Stanley Cup, Super Bowl and NBA Finals. Well, add another one to the list and that's "America's Day at the Races", the Breeder's Cup Championship with eight different races be contested with $20 million in purse money on the line.

You can bet these races at any local horse track such as Finger Lakes, Fort Erie, Buffalo Raceway and Batavia Downs and at all OTB parlors. Also, many internet gambling sites will accept wagers so don't get shutout as the complete 8-race card at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY gets underway at 12:30 p.m.

Here are my selections and if you spent $96 ($6 box exactas and trifectas) on all eight races, you just might win big...or at least get your money back. Also add a $2 Super Pick 8 (which is picking the winners of all eight races) and a $2 Superfecta ticket on the last race, the Classic for a $100 investment. Check in on Sunday to see how I did and post your results and picks as well

There are no guarantees but take my selections for what they are worth. Have fun and enjoy the great races!!
