6-1 last night. I hope some of you took my advice. More money in the bank!

*****Detroit over Los Angeles: Detroit has won 11 straight against LA, and there's no reason to think that the streak will end tonight. And think about this: Detroit has only lost 3 times at home against LA in their last 24 meetings. I don't believe in saying that a team "is due".

*****Carolina over Philadelphia: It's time for Philly to start a new losing streak. Carolina is red hot, only losing once, to Buffalo, in their last 8. Also, I think we all know how bad Robert Esche is and how good Cam Ward can be.

****Edmonton-Calgary over 5: These teams are both struggling defensively. I don't feel that they both can break out of their slumps at the same time. Either Roloson or Kiprusoff could return to form, but I think 5 goals is too low a numer. I would not take this bet at 5 1/2 goals. Add that fact that this game follows the rule of three, of which I went 3 for 3 last night.

Happy Betting and Happy New Year.
